About Me
I am the grateful husband to the incredibly talented mom and writer Rachel, Dad to the energetic London and feisty Emma and Co-Lead Pastor at LifePoint Church in Northern Nevada.
I’m a former Atheist who didn’t plan on becoming a Christian, let alone a Pastor, who now writes to try and make Christianity simple. I tend to focus on Christianity’s engagement with Culture, Theology, how Christians behave and the Gospel. If I’m not writing, leading or speaking I’m usually on two wheels in the Mountains, on board in the snow or four in the Desert with the family. I single-handedly keep coffee shops around me in business.
I’ve worked for a few of the largest and most influential churches in Southern California, Utah, Colorado and Northern Nevada. I hold a B.A. in Biblical Studies and an M.A. in Systematic & Philosophical Theology, which I think means I can at least hold the title of ‘Paperback Theologian.’
Writing
I’ve been on a bit of writing binge as I’ve written three books in the last year and a half, and plan on a fourth in the Fall of 2022. It’s been fun and I’ve learned alot! In the meantime, I’ve had the pleasure of writing for ChurchLeaders and the Christian Standard, as well as being featured on Crosswalk, Christian Leader Magazine, and Pureflix Insider.
My Hope For You
I hope my non-religious background can help bring some fresh and engaging perspectives to Christianity in general and to your relationship with God (if any) specifically. I hope how I think, my past and my writing will help you grow into a relationship with God if you don’t already have one, help bring you back if you’ve left, or help you become a more mature follower of Christ.
I also hope we can be friends to some degree. I’d love to hear from you and get to know you from afar through this site, email or on social media. Feel free to leave a comment on one of my posts, follow me on social media or send me a message. Follow me on Instagram.
